features: | I thought I was a ladybug, but I'm more commonly known as a Longhorn Beetle. Which is appropriate, because I live in Texas--home of Longhorns.
Longhorn (longicorn) beetles usually possess very long antennae and their larvae typically feed on wood, either dead or living, in which case they may pose an economic threat to forestry. These beetles are sometimes conspicuously marked, and certain longhorns feed avidly on flower pollen. Some species are sexually dimorphic. |
